Boats and the Lake

The RCD maintains boat docks and racks at the following locations:
East of the Lake
-The North Beach on the end of Beech lane is located on the
far north side of the east side of the lake. This location has a boat launch,
boat racks, and a 40' dock.
-The Old East Beach, which is located on Oak Lane on the east side of the lake and is
no longer open to swimming, features a nearby boat ramp and boat racks.
West of the Lake
-Park Drive boat racks and a boat launch (the boat launch is
maintained by the LNPOA).
-Boat racks and a 30' dock on the north side of the dam.
Boat Rules
* All Boats must be registered with the State of Illinois and contain a RCD
Lost Lake boat sticker. Boats stored on RCD Racks must have a separate Rack Sticker
* NO gas powered boats on the lake.
* Any boat that does not have up-to-date Illinois State stickers and current RCD
Year & Rack Stickers and is stored on RCD property, will be removed and locked up. The owner must prove current sticker and pay a storage and handling fee to have their boat returned to them.
*Any boat that is not stored on RCD property, yet is on Lost Lake without the proper stickers, will be asked to leave the lake. Any boat owner that does not leave the lake when asked will be reported to the RCD.
Please keep in mind the following when using these facilities and any other RCD facilities, including the lake:
* NO ALCOHOLIC beverages are allowed on any of the RCD properties, including the lake.
* Disorderly conduct and unreasonable noises are not permitted on any of the RCD properties. This includes activities that are disruptive to surrounding properties.* The RCD facilities are only for the use of Property Owners and their guests. Property owners are responsible for the actions of their guests.
