Many exciting things have been happening lately with regard to maintaining our most important asset: Lost Lake. Thanks to recommendations from the Lake Management Committee (LMC), the RCD has contracted a Lake Management Consultant, JadEco, to assess the current condition of the lake and watershed and to address both short and long-term issues affecting the lake's viability. JadEco helped organize the Volunteer Lake Management Program (VLMP), Click Here for more information on the volunteer work involved with that and the LMC program. We have also hired a professional grant writer/watershed planner, Olson Ecological Services, to help us with our watershed plan and to obtain grants to help pay for watershed planning and stabilization and water quality improvement projects in the watershed.
